Click here to see what’s happening in TnWS Region I. Region I, while considered rural, also contains artists in Memphis/Jackson and throughout West Tennessee. We are a close group that participates in monthly group critiques. Many artists ask how to get involved in the art scene in West Tennessee. In addition to Tennessee Watercolor Society (TnWS), we tell them about three major groups in the region, all of whom feature annual exhibitions: Memphis-Germantown Art League (MGAL), Jackson Visual Arts Association (JVAA), and Gibson County Visual Arts Association-Trenton (GCVAA). It is through involvement in these active groups that West Tennessee artists are often drawn to membership in TnWS.

We have artist communities throughout the region reaching north to Clarksville, south to Franklin / Columbia / Tullahoma / Lawrenceburg, east to Hendersonville / Old Hickory / Mt Juliet / Lebanon, southeast to Murfreesboro, west to Pegram / Dickson, and everything in between. Our hope is to help our TnWS members find artist communities near them, come together in TnWS region-wide activities, and participate in special TnWS statewide community events. We strive to inform and to provide educational and exhibiting opportunities in the visual arts.
