Loretta Lee Edge’s Bio
Loretta Lee Edge hails from Philadelphia, Pa. where she received her training on a 4-year scholarship to Moore College of Art and Design, and a master’s from Tyler School of Fine Arts, Temple University. After 30 years of teaching fine arts in public schools in various states, Lee and her husband have settled in Eastern Tn. in Tellico Village.
Lee’s art has been presented at the Denver Art Museum, has toured the contingent Rocky Mountain States, and has been featured in a gallery in Central City, Colorado. Lee has received numerous awards across the years including a national print making prize (Wind River National Show), and purchase prize for a guache/collage work in South Dakota. Recently Lee’s works have received a “Best of Show” and an honorable mention at a TAA exhibit. Lee has juried shows in western states, where she produced many portraits for clients.
Locally she is a member of the Tn. Art Assn., the Tellico Village Art Guild, The TWCS, and the Knoxville Art Alliance. Besides exhibiting paintings in East Tn., Lee teaches classes in drawing, design, color pencil and water color.
