Linda Sue Campbell’s Bio
Linda grew up in Johnson City, TN, and received a BS and MS degrees in biology from East Tennessee State University. She taught chemistry, physics, biology, math, and English for 14 years before joining IBM as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager. During the 1970’s, she took a year of art from Donald Hilton where she learned the basics of drawing and perspective. Since that time, she has taken multiple week-long watercolor workshops from such internationally known artists as: Frank Webb, Joe Miller, Cheng-Khee Chee, Kathleen Noffsinger, Joyce Faulknor, Steve Rogers, and Don Andrews. She has taken several art classes at ETSU since retiring from the corporate world. Currently, she is the publicity chairman for the Watauga Valley Art League, is a member of the Abingdon Depot Artists Association, treasurer of the Tennessee Watercolor Society, and secretary of the Jonesborough Fine Art Gallery. Linda has exhibited in various regional art shows, winning an Award of Excellence at the Abingdon Highlands Art Festival. She lives in Johnson City with her husband, William (Bill) Graham.
