Lee Fritch’s Bio
Lee, a retired engineer, paints in transparent watercolor and water-soluble oils. Since 1971 He work-shopped with many nationally recognized professional artists. Lee teaches private lessons, has conducted regional workshops and been visiting lecturer on watercolor at several colleges. Before moving to Tennessee in 2010 he was a signature member of the West Virginia and Ohio Watercolor Societies. He is a member of the Whiskey Painters of America since 1994.
He regularly exhibits in state, regional shows and won over 45 awards. He was a finalist in the 2001 National Arts For the Parks competition, and the Paint America Mini-50 competitions in 2007 and 2008. His work appeared in six issues of an internationally distributed calendar, a book “100 Ways to Paint Flowers and Still Lifes” published by International Artist Magazine, and an article for the e-magazine Interactive Artists. Lee is an avid plein-air painter.
