Helen Burton’s Bio
A Canadian-born artist now living in Tennessee, Helen Burton has painted exclusively in watercolor since 1984. She studied with more than a dozen internationally known professional watercolor artists, has an AA degree in fine art and a draftsman’s degree in architecture. Her work has been accepted into state and national competitions including the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors in New York and the National Watercolor Society 91st Annual International Exhibition in California in October 2011 when she received NWS Signature Membership. She also holds Signature Memberships in the Georgia and Tennessee Watercolor Societies. She served as TnWS Region III Director, ArtBeat editor, and chairman of the 2010 Exhibition in Chattanooga. Helen is a 12-year member of In-Town Gallery in Chattanooga and 10-year member of the Museum in Cleveland. She has four paintings in the 2012 Best of Worldwide Watermedia Artists Vol.II by Kennedy Publishing.
