Francie Entz’s Bio
Francie Entz is a retired university professor currently residing in Loudon County, Tennessee. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas-Austin. After leaving university life in 1998, she avidly pursued her interests in art, with an emphasis on watercolor, under the tutelage of Tucson artists Ellen Fountain, Andrew Rush, Pat Mahrone, and Janet Tifft. After moving to Tennessee in 2006, she continues to work in watermedia, participating in workshops directed by Sandra Washburn, Ann Bagby, Linda Kemp, Jean Grasdorf, and John Salminen. Currently she is a member of the Knoxville Watercolor and Tennessee Watercolor Societies.
Her work has been exhibited in Arizona Aqueous, an international juried show in Tubac, Arizona (2009, 2011), Tennessee Watercolor Society (2008), and various Oak Ridge Art Center and Knoxville Watercolor Society exhibits. Her work is in several private collections throughout the country and may be seen at Knoxville’s Art Market Gallery.
